Lucknow: Horticulture Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh reviewed the progress of various horticulture schemes in a video conferencing meeting. Emphasizing the Yogi government’s commitment to increasing farmers’ incomes, he urged the adoption of modern farming techniques to boost productivity with reduced costs and labor. He stressed the importance of informing farmers about the benefits of high-value horticultural crops through training and seminars.
Singh directed strict action against officials showing negligence in implementing schemes such as the Per Drop Per More Crop-Micro Irrigation Scheme, Integrated Horticulture Development Mission, and others. He highlighted the need for swift progress on the Center of Excellence and the establishment of high-tech nurseries across the state. Officials were instructed to ensure timely and quality execution of these projects. Regular reviews by the Deputy Director and Director were mandated to monitor the schemes’ status.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Additional Chief Secretary B.L. Meena and Director of Horticulture V.B. Dwivedi.
